Appliance and Furniture Removal

## HERO

**H1:** The refrigerator at the bottom of the basement stairs. The sectional that won’t fit through the door. We handle it.

**Subheadline:** Heavy, awkward, and difficult is what we do.

**Body:**

Appliances and furniture don’t move themselves, and most people can’t move them alone — and shouldn’t try. A refrigerator carried incorrectly damages floors, walls, and backs. A sectional sofa that doesn’t fit through a doorway doesn’t get any smaller by pulling harder.

We remove appliances and furniture of all sizes and configurations. We have the crew, the equipment, and the technique. We take it from wherever it is — basement, third floor, back room — without damage to the space and without injury.

## WHAT WE REMOVE

**H2:** Appliances and furniture we haul

**Refrigerators and Freezers**

Large, heavy, and full of refrigerant. Refrigerators require proper handling on stairs and through doorways, and refrigerant must be properly managed at disposal. We handle the removal and ensure disposal meets Vermont requirements.

**Washers and Dryers**

Disconnection, stair navigation, and hauling. We handle the disconnection from utilities and removal.

**Stoves and Dishwashers**

Gas and electric ranges, built-in dishwashers. We disconnect and remove without damage to the surrounding cabinetry or flooring.

**Sofas and Sectionals**

The piece of furniture that ends up staying forever because nobody can figure out how to get it out. We’ve moved sectionals through tight doorways and down narrow staircases more times than we can count. We know how.

**Mattresses and Box Springs**

Mattresses cannot go in standard trash pickup in Vermont. They require a separate disposal stream. We handle it correctly.

**Dressers, Armoires, and Wardrobes**

Heavy case furniture that requires disassembly, stair work, or both. We bring the right crew for the job.

**Exercise Equipment**

Treadmills, ellipticals, weight benches, and home gym equipment are dense, heavy, and awkward to disassemble. We do it.

**Pianos**

Piano removal is its own category of difficulty. We handle upright pianos. Call us for grand pianos — we’ll tell you what that involves.

**Office Furniture**

Desks, filing cabinets, conference tables, cubicle systems. Commercial and residential.

## WE GO WHERE THE ITEM IS

**H2:** Not just what’s already at the curb.

Some junk removal companies will take items that are already at the curb or in a garage. We go inside. Basement, third floor, back bedroom, storage room. That’s where most of the heavy items actually are.

We bring the right number of people for the job. We use dollies, furniture pads, and stair equipment. We do not drag things across hardwood floors or bang them through doorways.

## WHAT HAPPENS TO WHAT WE TAKE

**H2:** Furniture that can be donated gets donated.

Furniture and appliances in working, usable condition go to Burlington-area donation organizations before they go anywhere else. A sofa someone is done with is often exactly what someone else needs. We make that connection when we can.

Appliances that can’t be donated are disposed of correctly — which for refrigerators and air conditioners means proper refrigerant management. We don’t skip that step.

Mattresses go to a recycling facility. Vermont has specific requirements for mattress disposal and we follow them.
